Ok, so I have an mtx amp, anyway it shut off one day. Now when i go to put fuses in it, it pops them like none other. Even if the keys aren't in the ignition. I took it to circuit city, and they said most likely blown. They gave me a copy of my receipt that they printed out, and told me to send it back to MTX because that was under a 3 yr warranty. Had the thing for 2 1/2.. haha.. well anyway,I was just curious if there is anything else I should check before I sent it out? Any other reason it would be popping fuses with no keys in the ignition??? THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Blown input circuitry switch. You need a new board. Send it to MTX.

on a side note, MTX has a great repair department. when my old school 2300 blew they were awesome in helping me out.

^^in reality, the mono 4om power output will be around 800-900 watts. the birth certificate that came w/ mine said 875. its one of my favorite amps of all time, but dont pay more than $200 for one now, as they are pretty old (uless its a 2300x, which are newer).

Hey back on the amp, a side note.. i have a 4 ch sony amp, that i was planning on hooking up in the spring when i did my whole set up.. well i figured i'd test it out on the subs and see if it played.. i did it once b4 and it worked.. but figured after my amp kept popping fuses i would try again just to make sure it wasn't something weird going on... well i hooked it up and i light comes on saying "Over Current" wtf??? anyone have any ideas?
