Yeah I know I didnt want to go to thick and have it warp.

looks great, but you are going to have problems mounting that sub in there. even w/ a lot of fiberglass, you will get some flexing from the front foam baffle. i would suggest a couple (wood) braces from the front baffle to the back, just for support.

i was about to start mine once i got room in the garage to work but i was gonna do mine in an mdf box that sat in a fiberglass cover. lookin at this makes me think of doing it this was, just how much weight savings are we talking about?? and is that the insolation foam that is used on the outside of houses that you are using??

I am not exactly sure on how much weight savings this will give me but I wanted to give it a try. It is house insulation foam however you must use epoxie resin on it!!! polystyrine will melt it. I have the top on it now and will post up some more pictures once it is further down the line. BTW I decided to go wiht a JL 12w3v2d6 sub.
