Well one of my rear speakers has been sounding like crap lately so I initially planned to get some Eclipse 6x9's for $199, and an amp to power them for around $250 from a local stereo shop. I searched around and found www.caraudioforum.com and www.caraudio.com <<great sites. Here's what I am ending up with. I'm buying components for the front and moving my front speakers to the rear, I already have a Pioneer DEH-P6400 deck installed:

CDT CL-61 components: $149 www.thezeb.com
Avionixx 600.4 amp: $205 used
e10o sub: $135 off ebay direct from company www.edesignaudio.com

I'm in the process of building a sealed box. Thank god I found those sites, my stereo should sound much better then it would have

if you want bass without subs you should put 6x9s in the rear not 6.5s youll like it better in the end. right now i did the same you did, and it sounds good, but the 6.5s are not all that practical in the back. just my 2cents though

umm I am getting a sub, an e10o from www.edesignaudio.com. I'm just going to use my stock front speakers in the back as rear fill. I also canceled my order for the CDT CL-61's and ordered some Viper 650.2 components, which I got at even a better deal from sounddomain.com for $139. I can't wait to install this stuff. My speakers suck ass right now.
