I want to upgrade my speakers in my car, but I don't know what size they are. I have an RS. It has 2tweeters on the dash, the doors, and of course the rear speakers. Also, I would like to know if instead of upgrading the rear speakers to stock size, would I be able to put in 6x9s with out modifying or cutting? TIA

Your front door speakers can hold 6 1/2's with a decent depth to them without any modifying. Then your back's are actually cutouts for 6x9's but with like 5.75" stock speakers. You can put 6x9's in there but they wont be able to have much depth to them they have to be relatively small. I would just go with either some 6 1/2's or 6 3/4's in the back. Just maybe get a component set for the front and a nice set of 6 1/2's for the back then it'll sound pretty good 1998 Eclipse RS Mods Blitz Urethane Kit Aerospeed wing Xtreme Gt Carbon Fiber hood Altezza's Green Neon underbodys 3 12's =) thump thump Apex'i n1 cat back AEM cai Final Drive Mod Aim= masterkoronor Email WillieWaddell@msn.com

I'm running Kicker Resolution all around: R22 tweeters up top, 6.5" mids in doors (deep magnet, no mods), 4" mids under the dash (beneath the power mirror cluster, and next to the glove box), and 5.25" mids in the rear (no mods). You shouldn't have to modify the doors, and I would go with a 5.25 or 6" mid in the back just for a little fill. I think a 6x9 would be a little too loud IMO. Good luck!
