Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself...

where the hell is the ceiling?

they are a 4"T...slightly smaller than a traditional 4". look for the two distinctive mounting tabs, those are the ones that will fit.

Any chance I could get a 4" from a component set to work? I'm getting a component set with 6.5's, 4's, and tweets. The 6.5's are going in kick panels. It looks like this.

im sure you could get a 4" to fit, but there may be some custom work involved. youll probably have to build a baffle for the 4" out of MDF and then affix it on top of the regular opening somehow.

why are you putting the midbass in the kickpanels? they matter the least when it somes in imaging and staging. put the 4"and tweet in the kicks, and the 6.5" in the door. put a deflex pad in the door skin behind the midbass and seale the door off w/ some damping material. that should sound GREAT and be easier than having to build custom kicks AND dash.

I just set up a set of polk components (6.5, 1") to look factory...when you pull out the tweets, the grill will snap off of the actual speaker, from there you can just use a little dab of glue to get the new tweets to fit and still look stock...its not hard at all...
