Just wanted to let the people with large stereo systems know that the direct replacement alternator from alterstart is excellent! I just received mine yesterday and installed it last night. As soon as I started the car I could tell the difference. At idle my voltage would normally be around 12.6, but now it is at 13.2 at idle. I even have an UR underdrive pulley on! The car is also faster and smoother, and the stereo sounds way clearer, I even noticed that my A/F ratio gauge reacts faster now! well, i would have to say that the $229 was well spent on this alternator. and it was literally drop in! only thing is that they recommend that you change the + wire from the alt to the battery becasue the stock one cannot handle 135 amps. I put a 4 Ga monster cable in.

That's great to know. I was thinking about replacing mine, but just havnt had much time to look. Since the season is over, it definatly a thing to buy for next season. It's not much but my sytem is pulling 1300 watts from the battery, and it only hits hard once or twice. It was suggested since I have the stock alternator to get a larger one... if you say the Afterstart kicks ass, I def believe you. I'll give it a try for next season... if it sucks, I know where to find you..... lol j/k
Everyone says I need to drop the car on it's balls... I turn and say, "She dosnt have balls, she has a clit."

hehehe cool cool, The alternator is an exceptional piece and I would recommend it to anyone who is needing the extra output. I too have a 1300 watt system and I have like 50 other gauges and terminals pulling power also. The true test was my fuel pump. My HRC inline would change tone when my stereo was on or my headlights or AC. but now it just stays constant. regardless of what I turn on. I turned on the stereo, AC headlights, and rear window defroster and the fuel pump never changed tone like it used too!
