#7333, "factory radio question"

Is there anything else that needs to be hooked up in order to get the factory radio to power up? someone stole my headunit, so i tried hooking back up the factory one. I plugged the harness in, turned the car on and hit power...but nothing happens. Checked fuses in radio and under the hood and both are ok.

Also, does the stock cd player play cd-r's?

Does the unit play cdr cds? My cd player was broken when i bought it. so im debating as to whether buy another stock one only if the cd player can play cdr's.

No. The stock cd player will not play burned cdr's or cdrw's or mp3's obviously. I would replace it with aftermarket if I were you.

Plus once you get the stocker powered back up you will be required to enter the security code or pay Mitsu to give you a new one.

My stock cd player plays burned cd's too. It skips sometimes on gold and black colored ones, and can't read REALLY old CDR formats (like from 1x and 2x days) but otherwise it works fine. Just no MP3's obviously.

I have the 1U cdplayer-only unit.
