#7291, "Man, it has finally happened...."

Yesterday morning, some punk ass decided to brake into my car. They did a VERY good job stealing everything I had in my car and broke my driver side window. My headunit, subs, amps, my mids on door panel and stuff, and even my JAPANESE CD collections too. FUCK!!! What can I do? This has never happened, untill I pealed my tints off last weekend due to two tint tickets from same officer. What is there to do to prevent this shit? Can I shoot them when I catch them in action? fuck...

No, you can't shoot them...and you'd probably never see them anyway.

Prevent? No, if someone wants it bad enough they'll get it. Even an alarm they can break the drivers side door, pop your hood, and cut your siren in 15 seconds or less if they're even half assed about it.

But, I'd get an alarm system with highly visible warning lights and make sure you pur the alarm sticker on the window. And try to get the installer to mount it in a very secure location (In my truck it was behing my gauges...couldn't find it at all). And find a place other than the engine bay for your alarm siren...there's all kinds of space under the rear bumper.

Hide all wires and make it look as close to factory as possible.

Other than that pray to the car gods every night.

yeah, that's a good plan... but, my next door said that they heard something that night. Let's say I saw them in action, what options do I have? Should I take my gun? I'm just really pissed off... this shit happened three years ago, but it wasn't in my eclipse... so I wasn't as bad as today...now my pride and joy... I'm ready to take some actions. emoji

That's what back up batteries, and paging alarms are for.

U should mount a tripod machine gun in the back seat with a motion sensor so it will shoot everything that gets in your car, just make sure you hook up the remote shut off switch right so you dont shoot your own ass off. After my old car got broken into i had to sell it because i felt so violated.

exactly...i hit my alarm brain and used stock looking wire for mine...and the backup battery is a must. pager alarms are nice, but most dont do a very good job...you really have to shell out some $$ for a good one.

a buddy of mine here at school is an engineer, he's rebuilding a ridiculous mustang...'69 I think, somewhere in the nieghborhood of 650whp....anyways he's taking a basic alarm system and doing a few tweaks...for example: (keep in mind this is very NOT legal)

1) When you sit in the driver's seat when the alarm is going off you recieve a shock from a second car battery, an optima I believe. At first he cared about weather it would kill the person or not and spent many nights figuring out how to just hurt them, but he hasnt' gotten there yet, so I guess thieves beware. emoji

2) If you cut the alarm "brain" or siren the battery system will still work, it's almost completely separate...it just needs to be turned on by the alarm, then it has to be turned off with the car key.

If he ever gets this working for sure i'll let you guys know, i'm sure he'd be happy to give some tips. Car thieves are gay. Resist the temptation to buy cheap stuff that's probably stolen--give them less reason to do it emoji

oh, and 1) i dumbed that down ALOT and changed several things around, and am totally not liable for anyone's stupidity for trying such a thing

and

2) a cabinet lock from home depot on the hood latch is what the stang boys do to keep the hood from opening w/o a key. Its not full-proof, but its cheap and a pain in the ass for theives, esp. if an alarm is going off

Stuff razor blades behind everything. Let them butcher their hands and fingers trying to rip you off.

It's not exactly legal, but i did it anyway. All it took was one time, and from then on, i wanted anyone willing to try it to pay in blood and pain. Yeah, stick your hand in there and grab that deck, motherfucker. I don't mind when the cops see the two quarts of blood you lost in the parking lot, and track you to some stroke admitted to the ER last night for extreme digital lacerations and blood loss. Do i wanna press charges? Sure! Put the fuckhole away for a while, the insurance company will fix my shit.

Booby trap the shit out of everything. Don't bother with anything beyond an alarm to keep them out - if an alarm doesn't run them off, they're there for a purpose. Hide razors, needles, sharp things, pokey things, and anything you can think of in every place and position around all your stuff where they would have to reach to get it. Razors and needles in the speakerbox lift handles. Razors behind the console on the top and bottom of the radio. Needles on the bottom of the HVAC controls. You know how it goes together and comes apart - think like the theif. Imagine everywhere they'd have to put their hand, and put something there that will either cut them or stick them.

hahha, dino stole that idea from me (well, actually from a friend of mine)! im sure ive posted this story before.....

we heard a rumor that this guy we knew was going to break into his car one night, so we bought a bunch of razors and glued them into slits in the carpet on the sides of the box (pointing down at an angle) before we left his car. the next morning we woke up to an open trunk, a sub box that had barely moved, and a blood trail leading from the trunk to the street, LOL. the best part is that its hard to miss a guy who has massive bandages on his hands, so we found out who had done it pretty easily. emoji

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

this is a pretty good idea and hella cheaper than the other alternatives, but you gotta remember to take that stuff out if you bring it to a mechanic...even if they shouldn't have their hands where the blades are, they could still nail you and i'm pretty sure a court would not look kindly on that. Was thinkin' though...how do you attach them/get them off when you wanna work on the car?

we attached them w/ hot glue and took them off the next day with thick gloves. the hot glue was stong enough to cut someone but easy enough to peel/scrape off the next day. i would imagine that if you needed to take the car to a mechanic you could just remove the box using the designated spaces that didnt have the blades there. i wouldnt recommend implating razors to the extent dino described unless you soly work on your car like dino does, lol.

yeah probably a good idea, but I feel like my guages/boost controller would be much safer with the help of Mr. Gillette...possibly my HU too and even my amp...

Oh, MAN! razors and pins! Ouch!

Besides that, since you cant kill them if you catch them doing it, use a paintball gun and beam the F*ck out of them. Aim for their eyes! And dont forget to kick them while they're down and dont let them get away! Most of the time its someone that you know or knows you!

This was on the discovery channel a few years, It as enough to kill a man, it gave the would be thief a warning then an electrode from the roof and the power supply in the seat would light up with 50,000 volts looked like a small lighning storm burned the seat up and everything. You could hook something up to the door handle and a battery(car) someone tests the hanlde and gets bit. Oh and if you live in texas you can shoot someone for being in your yard.

And no Flame Returns

It insn't the volts that matter, because just about any average man can handle that many volts, what matter are the amps, it only takes less than half an amp to kill a man, think of it as the TQ of electricity

In january 03 the kid that lives behind me broke into my blazer and stole everything out of it...funny thing is he left footprints from inside my truck to his doorstep in the snow....worse part is..cops said they didnt have any evidence to prove it was him...
but its ok..cause about 4 months ago me and a friend caught him running through my backyard dragging a snowblower he stole from someone.....I was gonna beat the $1600 dollars he cost me out of his face...but after he pissed all over himself I felt bad and let him go ....lol...

I thought of another one... they make Mace/Pepperspray with UV dye, for later identification of subjects.

Just tie the trigger to the back of your radio... they pull the radio, they get gassed.

Old post? Well let me add too. I have a proximity sensor, so if someone looks into the window the cars gives them a warning. Then, if they do break in, they will never find the brain, and if they go looking in the engine bay for the siren, they will never find it. Their last shot would be to kill the power to the alarm under the hood... but my battery is in the back of the car, very secure. By that time I have come out and commensed the ass whooping.

WOW, this post is still going. Brynden, how does the proximity sensor work? Doesn't it go off all the time?

If its an internal prox it will only go off when someone sticks their and in the car. They also sell glass break microphones that will set off the alarm if it hears glass break. Your bottom of the barrel cheapest protection. 2.4ghz wireless baby monitor under the front seat. Voice activation so you dont hear everything that goes on. Have the receiver just a few feet from where your sleeping and go lay the smack down on who ever is messing with your car. I do have an alarm, a nice dei, but the monitor was left over after my little girl got a little bigger so i decided to put it to use. If someone taps my glass i can hear it inside the house and it runs off a little battery. The razorblade thing is a little extreme.

While the razor blade is extreme, Its brilliant. As far as I'm concerned there is nothing lower then a thief. I'm curious about the mustang guy and his voltage system. I defiantly want a schematic and parts list. Sounds like a simple relay circuit but I want one none the less. I pitty the motherfucker stealing my shit. Illegal or not I will leave them with a scar to remember for the rest of their life.
