I got my Valetine 1 radar dector today. I would to wire it to the unit which is above the rear mirror... do you guys have any idea of doing it?
I don't wanna see the cord running from the top of my windshield to the 12V adapter. It is annoying when driving......

thanks a lot !!

To make things easier just hit up circuit city or best buy or some similar store. They usually sell a hard wiring kit for radar detectors. Then you can just tuck the wire up into the headliner run it down the driver piller across the lower dash and then over to the center console and tap into the power line on the cig. lighter. Its a switched power source so the detector will turn on when ever you turn the car on. Thats how i have mine hooked up and the wiring is all hidden.

with the V-1 can you still take it down if its hardwired to the car? I"m assuming not, which is pretty much a no-go where I live emoji

Dunno if this helps, but the V1 has a "remote" display that may be easier for you to mount... http://www.valentine1.com/moreinfo/Display.asp
