I'm not good with fiberglass at all, so thats out of the question. Im thinking about making a box that just sits on the spare tire rack like the stock floor thing does, then building a box connected to it. Sort of like the guy a few posts down. What would be the best material to make this out of? Plywood? MDF? (i think thats what its called) Any help would be appreciated

You would want to use MDF to construct you box. Heh if you were local to san diego you could have my old tire well box since I took out my subs and all that stuff is just collecting dust in the garage.
