I have a DEI Python alarm but dont recall the model number. It has the 4 button remote? Does anyone know how I can adjust the alarm sensitivity with the remote? Or do I have to take my dash apart to get to the brain? I am getting nervous with some punks who have been scoping out my car and I want to increase the sensitivity for a few days to scare them off.
Can anyone help??

not sure on that particular alarm, but most of the time youll have to get to the actual sensor to adjust the sensativity. it should have some sort of screw to adjust it. you mihgt want to take off your center console to look for it. if the shop did a good job installing the alarm, they would have put it in there.

Yea, thats what I thought. Wasnt sure if I could adjust it with the remote. I ended up just yanking the ignition fuse and motor fuses. My fuse box is painted so at least they wont know which ones i took if they get that far into the car. I really want to buy one of those 2 way paging alarms, so I can actually run out there and catch those fuckers.

SPL is exactly right. You can only adjust it one the sensor. I know some cheap alarms have the sensor built into the brain, but I am pretty sure DEI has a seperate sensor. It should have a red light on it that shines when it is disturbed.

Yeah, you have to get at the shock sensor, wherever it is. It takes a small phillips head screw driver, clockwise is more sensitive, and counter clock is less sensitve. Be sure they mounted the sensor to something solid and sturdy, as this will make it work the best, and lessen false alarms from thunder, loud cars, ect..
