oaky..... heres the deal
This is the second head unit i have fried.... it stopped playing cd's and only plays on the radio. I had oen in my boat (with out a sub) that only played the radio. I used a cleaning cd on both of them and it would read that cd either. Wuts up with this?
Other story
I have a 1000 watt 2 cahnnel crunch black maxx amp pushing 2 planet audio 12's. Sometime my amp will shuit up and i shut off the whole thing for liek 5 minutes and turn it back on and it works. Well now the only thing that works are my rear main pioneer Speakers. I am running 4 guage ground/ battery wire and a pretty decent size speaekr wire. The remote wire is pretty much shit. i wanna say 16-18 guage. Is this normal size? I had to attach a connector to make it work with my amp.

Possibly your wiring or wiring harness is not correctly hooked to the blue/accessory wire. I had that issue before where a wiring harness was incorrect. When the blue wire wasn't hooked correctly to the headunit it would not activate the amp to send out music.

im having the same problem with my amp pretty much. i just gave up on mine tho and unplugged it. check the usual, all wires(power, ground expecially), check volts if you have a meter and all fuses. i dont really know your situation but make sure your amp is cooled enough too. mine done the same thing and i have no other problems (possibly a weak battery tho i dunno) but ive pretty much decided wiring in my amp is just fried.

well how do you guys have the subs wired?? sounds like the ohm level is getting to low and the amp is going into protection does it come on when your playing it soft and then shut off when you turn it up???
and about the head unit what kind of head unit is it? did you ground it properly? its probably the laser that got messed up if it didnt recognize the cd, and for that you have to take it to a audio shop ( a really good one most will tell you no) and get it adjusted

its nto my remote line, b/c the green power light was still on. I am getting a new head unit b/c my other one is fried. The only thing i could think of is that my blue RCA cables are disconnected from my head unit a little.
