what are the subs rated at? maybe you have too much power goin into them? maybe the x-over is too low for too high volumes?

I have the amp bridged and pushing 300rms to both subs giving each about 150rms at 2ohms.. the subs are rated at 35-130rms... i dont have a x-over other than the interal one that is set at 80hz as the lpf... most of the time it sounds great, but when i turn it up it just seems to bottom out.. weird.
