i dont know if its possible but is there anyway to put a timer on the alarm so it arms itself after the turbo timer times out. i have teh turbo timer but i have to wait til it times out to set my alarm. it kinda defeats the purpose of a timer when you have to sit in teh car and wait anyway

yeah absolutely...in fact I just did a post a few days ago in the 1g/4g63 section about using the apex TT with a GST and the factory alarm. SO it is definitely doable. What kinda of TT, what kind of car, and what kind of alarm are you trying to use?

cool i have the apex auto tt on a 97 rs-t its an aftermarket prestige alarm. would it be the same thing basically as the factory alarm? thanks for the help

i know there is a way to rig it so you can arm it while it's timing down and it wont disarm when the car shuts off.. here's how mine works..
take out key.. get out of car..the car is timing down.. i hold my ARM button for 1 second and my car arms while the car is still on. When my car shuts off from the turbo timer.. the alarm DISARMS for 30 seconds..but then it auto-arms after the 30 seconds. but i know there is a way to rig it so it wont disarm at all..but i'm just too lazy to mess with it..circuit city installed my alarm and shit. but the way i have it now is fine for me.. i'm a 95 GST with Blitz FATT turbo timer with Viper 600 or 650 ESP Alarm system.

Sounds like you have the same alarm as me. Prestige, a 3 button remote with one red and two blue buttons?
Just find the (yellow wire) coming from the brain and where ever it is move that to the (solid blue) wire, watch out though cuz there's a (blue/black) under there too you may splice into the wrong one like I did.
With this you can take out your key, let it time down, and close the door and arm the car and walk away. also it does not arm with the key in. I just did this the other day.

one thing to be careful of: for some reason I'm getting a glitch with my install (could be my guages, too) where the ebrake like and the battery light come on simultaneously. First they come one faintly, then they get bright, but never brighter than the light itself when my ebrake is on. The battery voltage is usually in the 14's when this happens...just keep an eye on it, not sure if it will happen w/an aftermarket alarm...I did the tweak found on VFAQ.com

Here's how I got mine to arm while its counting down. I just cut the ignition/accesory sensing wire from my brain's harness. Then the car thinks that the car is never on so you can arm it whenever you want bwahaha even while driving. TO make it even more ghetto I rigged a switch for it so now I can tell the brain when the engine is on whenever I want. haha I just leave it off though the only time I switch it on is when I wanna clear a zone indicator on the LED kinda wierd to see that light blinking while driving O_o
So this is how I arm the car with the turbo timer. Set turbo timer remove key flip switch to off (optional) then close door arm system
I had to turn my vibration sensor down a bit cuz my car is kinda noisy and sets the alarm off while its the TT is counting down.
I know there's a better way to do it this is just what I did.
