this may sound silly, how many harnesses are in factory stereo? 1 or 2? I can't find out cuz the orignal stereo that came with my car got jacked and they cut the factory harness with it. Did it change from 1g to 2g? I bought a harness kit and found a 1g factory stereo harness at a junkyard. but the kit comes with one plug? thanx in advance

Since you have a '97 RS, you most likely didn't have the Infinity system. With that in mind, the radio harness should have two plugs with it. If you go to a local Circuit City, they can order you a male plug (71-7001) or the female plug (70-7001) for your car. The 71 is the car side of the harness and the 70 is the aftermarket plug that converts the stock plug to the aftermarket wiring colors.
