#6626, "HELP NEEDED: Head Unit wont come on!"

What could cause this? All of the wires are connected on the back of it and everything. Could a fuse have blown somewhere or what?

96 Eclipse Base 5 spd
Rebuilt engine w/ forged internals, APC Air Filter, Clear bumper lenses, 15" ICW wheels, Alpine v12 amp, 2 12" Xplodes, 5.6" lcd monitor, Dvd player, Playstation 2, Power1 Exhaust, Aerospeed Wing, Altezza tails w/ painted center, 20% tint, Silver Graphics, Audiovox alarm system.

Big transformation underway this winter!

Most vehicles have 2 fuses, one for constant power and one for switched power. Check the fuses and possibly one on the radio.

In addition, take a tester and check to see if you are getting power at the radio. You may not have properly grounded the radio!

Good luck to ya!

^^^i agree with everything above. you have to ground the ground on your own, theres not connector in the harness for it. just screw it onto one of the metal braces inside the dash area (if you havnt already. emoji )

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

Well its already been hooked up, it just like went off all of a sudden like a fuse blew, but i just went out there again, and it came on like normal, so i dont know what the hell the problem is.

This happened with my friends JVC and my sister pioneer, it just would turn off then go on sparidicly. . .The problem was that the atena plug was coming loose, my guese was that some units used that as an extra ground. We taped the atena wire into the plug and it hasn't happened since...
