yeah the best thing i found was that info on vfaq has all the color of the wires so it made it simple just plan before doing anything

"what kind of inductor would i need if i wanted to keep anything above 500hz out of my speakers? im running 2 4ohm dvc subs in series parallel coming out to about 3.99 ohms"

well..here you go. the formula is as follows:

total impedance/2 x pi x crossover point =

4/2 x pi x 500 = .0012732 = 1.27 millihenries.

a few notes: you will HAVE to use an air core coil in order to avoid extreme saturation, and even then you probably wont be happy with the results (im not sure why you want to persue the passive route anyway?). i would suggest using an active crossover. in actuality, most subs will naturally roll off around 500-1000 hz, so adding an inductor of that value would really do nothing and probably cost more than you would expect.

What's your address? I'm in need of some parts for my Talon! Of course, knowing where the alarm is just makes my job a little easier.

Just kidding!

Did you install a backup battery on your alarm. In addition, where are the sirens. As a thief (which I'm not, but think like one since I do a lot of alarm installs), it's really easy for me to get around your alarm, without a back up battery.

In addition, be sure to use a siren with the battery backup inside. This will prevent me from popping the hood and cutting the main power wire from the battery, which will deactivate your alarm.

Just some food for thoughts!

o and audiophyl yes i have my battery hidden its not in the trunk or the engine bay who knows where it is?? so you have to find that first and as far as the siren i have it mounted all the way in the back of the radio its a pain siren, not even i can handle that damn sound and it does have a 9v battery for spare. And if you want to come down and rip my car off lets see about 1500 for airfare then 50 for car, about 80 for one night hotel room, $ up the ass for shipping. yea i dont worry about you mainland peopl emoji only marc hehe peace
