i checked all my wiring on the battery and on the subs themselves and its ok, but all of a sudden today when i was driving they started popping (Actually, they were hitting full power only not following with the music...just continually firing up and down). does anyone know what could cause this?

hey did you try checking out if your rcas are giving feedback through your ground wire(should be on opposite sides of the car) if not check if your rca lines have a crack in them and there grounding out if not then your subs might be blown trying pushing on them lightly and see if you can hear any air come out if theres a lot there blown

the lines are run properly because the system has been installed for about 3 years, and the subs arent blown, so it may be the power wire. i noticed a crack in the line but its still in one piece, just loose, so i guess that could be the problem.

could it also be an internal problem with the amp itself? I have had amps do some wierd shit to me and it baffled the hell out of me for a while until i realized it. Just a thought

Also check your wiring to make sure there are not small cuts in it. That happened on my old setup and when I hit bumps, the wire would ground out from being pressed down by the enclosure.

disconnect your RCAs from tha amp and see if anything changes. if it DOES, its a problem upstream from the amp, such as bad RCAs, a bad ground somwhere else, etc. if the pops DONT stop, its a problem in the amp or amp wiring, or somthing else downstream.
