#6405, "got my car back from body shop, now wierd problems"
Jun-19-03 07:31 PM by Blk95Talon

Everything was working perfectly before I got into an accident and hadd the car go to a body shop.

Problems:

1) Cd changer stops playing cd's about every 30 seconds. Middle of a song, just stops for like 5sec, then resumes Kinda like its skippin but its not, cause it was with a cd I bought 10min beforeI put it in and it works fine in other cd players. It also cant be skipping cause it did it while I was idleing in my driveway. Tends to happen more at medium-high levels of volume, might just be sparatic though. This NEVER happened before.

2) I know all headunits volume systems are different but on mine average listening leval is at about 17 or 18, and the loudest I normally will ever go is 22-23, after that it starts to distort. Now my speakers all distort and sound like ass at around 13-14 which is really low. It doesnt happen all the time, but Id say about 90% of my tries it did this. Only twice today it let me go to the normal volume without a prob, of course when I was trying to show a friend the problem.

3) When it got out of the body shop I tested my alarm. It sounded REALLY faint, like you had to go way close to the hood to hear it. Then after a few tried it fixed itself and went back to normal volume. Randomly a few hours later it stopped makin all noise whatsoever. It disables the starter, flashes lights, just no siren. Its a viper alarm, keychain has 2 buttons labled I and II I dont think its in silent mode cause I tried the normal thing to get it out (I, then II, then I) and no help.

If anyone knows any solutions or has any ideas as to solve any of these probs, please let me know. Thanks guys emoji

check your battery.. my alarm was sounding really faint too and my headunit would cut off when i tried to start my car because there wasn't enough juice.

Well after driving it for a day, the speaker and cd changer problem seem to have solved themselves. But the alarm is still not goin off. It worked fine for a day, then the siren quit. Im suspecting a corroded or loose wire cause it rained last night and it might have effed it up.
