im trying to install my new deck, but the head unit is a pain in the ass and we cant figure out how to get it out. What panels do I have to take out? I already took out the face panel that goes over it but theres these two metal things coming out of the side of the head unit thats holding it in. I can unscrew them, but that would require getting at it from the side, which I cant because of the side panels. HOW DO I GET IT OUT?!?!?!?
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi- colored uppers, downers, screamers,laughers... Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.

You need to remove the center console to get access to the metal radio mounting bracket, that has 4 screws into it. With the radio cover panel off, there will be 2 screws at the top, above the radio, on each side. Pull out the ashtray/cup holder(its just clipped in), and you will find 2 more screws there. Now, move the driver seat up and you will find another screw down in the back of the side console, by the floor. There is one screw on each side of the console. Now remove teh shifter knob, and pull up on the entire console. You may have to disconnect a few wire harnesses, and the ashtray light bulb. Now you have full access to the radio mounting bracket.
