What did you guys use to cut out the spare tire rack? I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about it. Let me know ASAP! TIA!

Removing the spare tire rack is rather easy. I used a simple pair of "duck-bill" pliers and a set of tin snips. In total, removing the rack took me 45-60 minutes.

Once I had the bulk of the material removed, I used a grinder to make the metal smooth. Once smooth, I filled any holes with fiberglass resin and them primered the bare metal.

Overall, it only took me a few hours, from start to finish. I only broke one spot weld, but a little glass took care of that.

Good luck to ya and remember that patience is a virtue!

A drill. and the claw side of a hammer. Drill into the spot welds halfway through and it will pull off with a little tug. make sure you use a bit that is bigger than the diameter of the spot welds.
