Occasionally when at really high volumes I hear a "poping" noise from the sub like every 5-10min. Could this be result of:
My amp overheating and clipping? My amp clipping it in anyway? Overpowering the sub? Loose grounding? Or...could it be because I have my power cable for the amp run along the rca's that go to the head unit sub outputs and its creating the occasional pop? (I never had a problem with noise, so I never really bothered to change it)
I run a 10" bazooka tube, its dvc, manual says each coil handles 250watts rms, or you could bridge them both and then the sub handles 500w rms (I have it bridged). Im using a crunch 500watt amp (which shouldnt be anywhere near 500w) So I dont think Im overpowering it.
This isnt really problem, as it happens only during certain songs, with certain bass frequencys, at a volume leval higher than I normally listen to it. Just want to know if its a fixable thing.

could just be to bass in the songs. for some songs on my fifteens it sounds good and other times it sounds like crap.
You've Just Been YourInMyMirrOWNED! CrazyEclipse: Personally I cant do it or at least I dont believe I can. And YA I do play with it...... sometimes...... I'm not bashful, and I think I am the first girl on 2gnt that has admit to it.

its more than likely got a bad coil. my mtx sub does that too. i know what caused it tho. the connected wires on the back of the sub had caught on fire(they had a piece of link in there)

could be your getting magentic feedback going from the power wire to the rcas does it only happen when the bass hits hard?? if so i would say your power wire is interfering with the rcas giving it feedback try running rcas on one side of the car and power on the other

sounds like the subs are bottoming out
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi- colored uppers, downers, screamers,laughers... Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.
