#6264, "What size wire and where do I connect it?"

Ok. I just bought a 10" kicker solobaric sub in a box and i bought a 360w rocksford fosgate amp..now my question is.. what size gauge should i use to connect my amp up to my sub? I'm thinking around 4 gauge is this correct? Also, my sub box has 2 connections..positive and negative.. now.. my amp however..has 4 connections..
LEFT+ LEFT- RIGHT+ RIGHT-

My friend said with 1 sub i should hook it up mono..he said since my sub box has 2 connections (positive,negative) to hook it up as follows..positive go to LEFT+ and negative go to RIGHT-..so LEFT- and RIGHT+ don't have anything plugged in..is this correct..i dont want to blow anything.. Thanks..

EDIT. oh yeah one more thing.. for you eclipse owners..since my friend has a honda i couldn't ask him..how did you guys run the wire to your headunit and your battery? like i know it goes under carpet and stuff..but could someone explain it to me? I want to hide my wires when I hook up my system and I dont know how/where to put the wires. Tthanks..

points to anyone that is kind enough to help me emoji

easy answer k the positive for the amp should just run through the firewall from the battery to the positive there should be a grommet or you can just do what i did and make a hole. the negative of the amp just goes to the chassis of the car(make sure you sand so you can see a lil metal) the remote of the amp goes to the head unit remote power the sub is going to be wired like this

------------ __________
AMP ->>>>>>>>>>>>>-I I
+ I I
I SUB I
- I I
+>>>>>>>>>>>>>+I_________I

------------

get the point its called bridged where you run most of the power of the amp to the speakers and 12 or 14 gauge speaker wire is good enough
8 gauge wire is plenty for only a 360watt

to hook the deck up just use the factory plugs and get a light tester or multimeter

peace out
