I'm very happy w/ my JBL's... the magnet just barely fits in2 the black cone frame/holder thing in the doors 2. If U don't have 6x9's in the rear, I'd go rummaging through some junk yards & pickup some new pods cause I know Mitsu got creative in their combinations of speaker sizes. Got my 2 pods @ a local junkyard 4 $15 w/ the stock Infinity speakers in them (looks pretty on a shelf, LOL).

P.S.
It may take some work 2 get the rear pods 2 screw down Bcause of the magnets, my JBL's barely fit there 2.

I like Infinity products really well. They preform the best time and time.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi- colored uppers, downers, screamers,laughers... Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.

I have JL AUDIO for all my speakers and i luv how they sound.......
Still debating on installing the JL AUDIO 2 10" W7's w 2 500/1 amps. I'm getting the evo8 around the end of the year so i might just wait and install them into the evo instead of losing out on the show car...

I have the Sony Explode's (6.5" 3 ways in front doors and in the rear panels), and they sound great. I have them running off of a Directed 500 4 channel amp, and an Eclipse EQ under the radio. The EQ makes a world of difference with any speaker IMO.

Well, I normally don't post about "what kind of product is the best" when it comes to speakers, but this one has caught my eye.

You originally asked "What Are The Best Speakers To Get For The Doors And For The 6x9's? just gimmie some good ideas please... " That is a reasonable question, but you didn't give us enough information to properly answer the question.

Here are the "basic" questions I ask every person who comes into my store to purchase speakers:
#1 What kind of music do you listen to mainly?
#2 How will you be powering them: Factory h/u, After-market h/u, or amp?
#3 What brands have you had in the past that you have liked or disliked?
#4 I don't ask this, but "what's you budget"

Here's why I ask these questions:

#1 Tells me how they will set the bass/treble in the car. If it's rap, then the bass will be cranked. Jazz...I have someone who appreciates music. With this in mind, I will recommend some speakers to that will handle the demands of the music style. I'm not going to recommend a speaker with a fabric surround to a bass fan, because the speaker will not produce the sound they will be looking for.

#2 Tells me what kind of power will be given to the speaker, which will determine the sensitivity rating of the speaker and also how much distortion will be played through the speaker.

#3 Tells me what they hate and like, which makes keeps me from trying to show them the benefits of a speaker that they totally hate.

#4 Budget will eventually determine what level of speaker the consumer will purchase.

As far as answering your question, none of us really can. When it comes to speakers, it's what sounds the best to you. If I get in your car and hear rear speakers, I immediatly don't like the audio set-up. Most people who sit in my car don't understand what they are hearing and it takes my 10 minutes to "re-teach" them how to listen to music.

To some, the Sony XPlode 6.5" speakers are awesome. Sorry XtremeRS, but accurately critiquing the speaker, you will learn that it is an extremely "flat" speaker. It doesn't produce the male and female voices naturally. To demonstrate the sound they produce, say a sentence and then cup your hand 1" from your mouth and repeat the same sentence. The second sentence is not natural, which is the same effect that the Sony's produce.

Every speaker will have some short comings. I use the Sony XPlodes, because it is the easiest speaker to demonstrate it's particular shortcoming.

Comparing the Polk Momo Component set and the Alpine Type R component set, there are huge differences. You actually have to listen to them on a display board and pick out individual instruments. To the untrained ear, the Alpine will sound better, because it produces more mid-bass. That is why most people prefer the Alpine's over the Momo's in my shop. Once I teach them "how to listen to music" they will discover each benefit to each speaker and then decide for themselves which one they prefer.

My recommendation, go to many stores and listen to different speakers. In addition, visit the following sites and attend one of their shows: http://www.slapshow.com http://www.iasca.com http://www.soundoff.org The cars at these events are competing to produce the most realistic car audio system. Listen to the cars and talk to the competitors. They will open your eyes and ears (yes, eyes...you will eventually be able to see the music) to the true world of sound quality.

Best of luck to ya and let me know if I can ever be of assistance!

Ahh yes, they did sound rather flat, NOT using a good graphic EQ. My Eclipse half din passive EQ makes up for all of that, because it can boost/fade any frequency i wish. If you heard it, you would be very surpised. I even used this EQ on the stock speakers before i got these, and i'll tell ya what, it sounded pretty damn good! Plus i got these speakers from a bud who worked for Best Buy, so needless to say, i only paid very little for them hehe.. I dont even really listen to my system much anymore either..too busy listening to the motor and turbo! emoji

I have Focal Utopia 136w's up front, 1 Digital Designs 9012 in the rear (ported 35 Hz), a USAmps 100x pushing the componets in Q-logic kick panels, and a DEI 1100d pushing the sub and my shit hits hard loud and clear.. i took out my rears they just distort anyway if your adding 1000+ watts in your hatch.. My system pounds and sounds very well doing it.

BTW, Xtreme I just got my windows tinted 20% all around and they did a great job at 1st class auto in Livonia. The owner has so many tricked out rides it makes me sick!

i really dig the Infiniyt Reference series. Load Clean and well worth the price. Had Quartz before and the Infinity COMPLETELY blow them away. I say fuck the rears if your gonna push the fronts hard and let the subs do the rest man!

CAI, UDP, 2.5 custom exhaust, hi flow cat, P&P TB, ported intake, 8.5mm MSD wires.
