i just installed my cd last night and i drove it around for a bit but not at full volume and bass. today when i play it loud it skips, even on cd with no scratches. now i know that the cd player has virtually no skip protection. is it the bass thats causing it to cd skip? or could it be that a wire is not makin full contact somewhere and it just seems like the cd is skippin. it doesnt look like the cd player shuts off at all. just sounds like a regular cd skippin but ALOT.

is it used? new?

sounds like theres a problem with the headunit. a wiring problem shouldnt cause that, and i assume youve turned down the bass to see if that is the cause.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

take the player back. if it's used open it up because i bought a used one and got ripped off. there was scotch tape holding the wires together.
