Would givng my 6.5 alpine components 120W RMS be too much and blow them? They are rated at 50W RMS and 200max. I'm not trying to have to buy another set of speakers, but I would like to give them more power to draw more of the sound up front. What do you guys think? Thanks for the input.

ya, if they are rated at 50rms, and you stick 250rms to them. i think they will blow.
try turning down the gain a bit if you want to have that setup.

exactly, just keep the gains down on the amp and you should be more than fine.

actually, you can push 1000 CLEAN RMS watts to em and crank and jam all day long, just make sure there's no distortion going to them and dont overcrank em, right now I have 250wrms off an Xtant amp on my 70wrms focal polykevlar components, they take it like a champ with no complaints, just be careful with em and they wont blow
