Anyone else smell that?! haha yeah thats right Who else is running dual amps to one sub and when pushing it smells the voice coils burning?

are you sure its the VCs? if so, thats not a good thing, lol.

hopefully you gain matched the two amplifiers, correct? if not you have all sorts of phasing issues and the VCs are not happy with each other at certain frequencies. its not a horrible thing until you get into the uber-watt region (similar to playing stereo subs in the same box), but i would fix that as soon as possible if you just "guessed" as to level matching (and dont think that just setting the gain knobs to the same position produces the same output!)

as mentioned in an earlier post, are the amps new? they might be giving off that "new amp smell" if that is the case.

Nope its def the voice coil, I have been around them before when they started burning lol... Its got that certain smell, I just kinda guessed on what gains I put it on, I should get them marked exactly what I want and just use the headunit to control the gains.
