I've noticed that alot of people on this board have sub boxes that cover the entire hatch area. I looked and if I were to trace the rear carpet, it wouldn't match at the top. How did you guys go about measuring the top area to make it fit nice and snug against the panels?? Any help would be appreciated

Come on guys, I need some help here. What I want to do is build a false floor using 1/2" MDF, flush mount the amps in the spare tire well, and have my speakers facing backwards. The only trouble I am having is I can't figure out how to get exact measurements of the panels. I wanted to make just a thin top and front out of like 1/8" wood to make it look like the box goes right up to the panels. Any suggestions???

the easiest way is to simply use cardboard and slowy trim and test fit (and repeat over and over) until you have a template. its usually best to brake it down into pieses first though: drivers side, rear, and passengers side. then once you have them perfect, place them back into position and attach them all with tape. then you can trace the outline of that onto some mdf (or wood or whatever you are using) and cut out the final product.
