do you guys have any "custom" security? what do you guys use to prevent your cars from getting stolen? I've been noticing a lot of people are gettin broken into. one of my buddies got his car stolen. I know it sucks to get shit stolen. Some one broke into my car two years ago and took everything inside, and my truck got stolen last summer. I just want to get some kind of ideas so i can do something, so atleast my baby wont walk away

you can always do the old kill switch trick....where you have a switch hidden away that you have to flip. that or get an alarm with starter kill, which mine has. lastly if you get an alarm you need to look at the remote pagers. i love mine. and they will wake up the heaviest sleeper even at 3am. that way even if you cant hear your alarm on your car youll be sure to hear the pager so you can run out and save your baby

I have a keyed switch wired into my fuel pump mod. With the turn of a key my fuel pump is dead, no fuel, no start. But this doesn't prevent anyone from breaking in and stealing or trashing everything inside.

that's pretty cool. So, you guys are tapping into your wires so it wont start. cool!! My easiest thought was to take the ground cable from the battery off!! lol but, i need to come up with something like...nic

use some kind of security screws on your gear for your system. i dont do this, simply because if someone broke into my car and didnt get the stuff, id still have to file an insurence claim and go through repair stuff, but if they DO steal the stuff, i get a check in the mail for more than its worth, and i get to buy new stuff.
edit: the fuel pump cut is the BEST idea. make sure you put the switch in a place no-one will find it (ie..NOT UNDER THE DASH!!!), and use thick (12-10ga) wire to prevent unneeded resistance. that way, theres NO way to start the car (for long) unless you can find the switch. no thief will a) know why the car stalls and (b) want to stick around to figure it out.

switch hidden next to the seat and a simple push button switch hidden inside teh seat that contacts the springs. Simple modified Stun batton inside the seat with Piano wire threaded in the seat seams Can put a damper on some ones stealing spree.
Bad thing is I haven't got the nerve to test it out. May not beable to get up off of it.
"Sir I don't know why there's a dead guy with a slim jim in my car."
Just hope the battery is dead on it by then.
Yes this is a joke. But would work. There is something similar but it is a club for your steering wheel that pops some sparks when it "hears something" and it lights your butt up upon movement. Possibly even buy one of those interior Car foggers and replace the fog canister with CS gas?

DEI makes those ear piercers, within 30 seconds of your car alarm going off there is a shreaking noise that is suppose to do permanent ear damage if the person does not get out of the car. They tried to sell this to me when I got my alarm.

^^^That's a one hella alarm system there. I've seen flame security on a Z3 before. it shoots out flames from sides. I know I really don't have much other than my system in the car, but it really sucks to get shit stolen. When they broke into my car two summers ago, they even took my ASHTRAY!!! now that's low...
