First off... What the hell is the deal with Mitsubishi using way to many wires to do such a simple thing??
Today i ripped open my rear (that sounded bad!!) to install my new Harada Power antenna, and there are about 7 wires connecting the stock power antenna... What the??

The Harada has only three... red, black, and blue...obvious what they should be for, power, ground, and remote antenna lead. But what the heck are all the wires on the stock antenna for? Voltmeter later... Always on Power, ACC, Remote antenna lead, ground, and brown..?? and black white stripe..??

Anyway, the antenna is in, and it goes up, but it wont go down again!!! driving me insane.
I connected the always on power lead to the positive on antenna, and ground to ground and remote turn on to remote turn on...

Anyone have any ideas about this??

i dont know the first thing about power antennas, but perhaps the two power wires serve different functions. one might be for "up" and the other for "down", or somthing. that would make sence, because if you were only giving power to the "up" wire, it would have no way to go back down. thats my best guess. you might try switching the remote and constant power wires to see if it acts differently.

hopefully someone else more knowledgable can help you out here.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

Yea, I hear ya. I tried that, but the thing is the new aftermarket antenna only as 3 wires, one of which is ground... so there are limited options.. my best guess was to have the always on constant to the power of the antenna, and then either the remote lead or the ACC wire to the remote of the antenna, but either one results in the same result. DAMN these things!!!

Why are you changing your ant?? Did it stop working, mine doesn't go down all the way. I was thinking about shaving it off with my upcoming body work, and getting a high powered ant and putting it in the plastic.

Let us know how it goes
