well i made a post about a problem i had with my pioneer head unit and you guys were right (as well as i thought) my head unit was fried and so was all my speakers. i went to circut city to get a hu and i was searching for a hu that played mp3's and they only had three. 1 alpine, which was #400, a kenwood, which was discontinuted, and another kenwood, which was #250. i went for the cheaper one cause i couldnt afford the alpine. i really wanted the alpine tho. its the KDC-MP522. i like it so far but there is to much dang menus and options lol. good display and puts out good music. the speakers i went with polk the whole way around. doesnt sound to bad, ALOT better than my stock speaks.

what do you guys think of kenwood hu's? i never owned a kenwood, its my first one.

theyve always been good to me as far as reliability. the only complaint i have about kenwood is that they like buttons a little too much. im not sure if theyve changed this philosophy recently, but ill be damned if i didnt have to feel the faceplate for 2 minutes to find the button that switched between a CD and radio on some of thier older units.

i guess the real question here is this: are YOU happy with it?

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

Not a big Kenwood fan, but I know a lot of people who love thier stuff. For your next upgrade definitely get a seperate 4ch amp for those speakers! You'll be surprised how much better they will sound with a little power to them emoji emoji
