does anyone happen to know the dimensions of the tiny area under the passenger seat, I'd like to mount a CD changer (haven't bought it yet) there, but not sure if it'll fit...

I was looking at the Sony CDX-757MX (from Crutchfield, if I can't find a better price elsewhere), 'cuz my system is all Sony right now, and this one plays CD-R/RW and MP3's...here are the dimensions from Crutchfield...

dimensions: 11-11/16"W x 3-5/8"H x 7-5/8"D

...if it doesn't fit under there, where is another good place to mount it that is easy to get at?...and can you guys post pix of where yours are mounted???

There are tons of options that I that I've seen done. You could put it into the glove compartment but that would involve cutting and making some sort of mounting brackets. You could put it in the hatch somewhere if you don't mind loading and unloading the CD's at a stop. Or you could take out your back seat and make a custom box thing that would hold it. A few guys on here have taken out the back set and did custom things like I'm talking about.. you could run a search for "backseat boxes" or something like that. Good luck man... let us know how it goes.

P.S- I don't know if that will fit under the seat but I do know that guys have put DVD players under there with no problem.

You could mount it in the trunk area on the hatch cover but facing the front of the car on the passenger side so that when you flip the rear seat down then you could still access it from the drivers side...

A 10 disc changer will not fit below the passenger seat. I have a processor brain there, which is under 2" tall and the seat sometimes rubs against it.

Best bet, put it where in the stock cd player location. Otherwise, do some fabrication and put it in the glovebox or in the center console. The console will be hard, but it could be done!

Good luck to ya!

If you were to pull the rear side panel on the passenger side of your trunk, you will see the mounting tabs for the changer on the floor. It goes on the passenger side, in the trunk.

Just pull the read side panel in the trunk and you will see what I'm talking about.

Good luck to ya!
