I am fairly new and just got my car a month ago. I have the stock infinty deck, and was told i had infinty speakers in my car. I took all the pannels off, and had like 5" speakers in the front and 5.25" speakers in the back. Hella small. Can i get the brakets to put 6.5" in the front and 6x9's in the back, or is there any mods i can do to fix them in the stock brackets. Can anyone help me out Please!!!!

i believe you are correct that the stock speakers were 6.5" in the front doors and 6x9"s in the back. i know that some of the 97 and later cars had 6.5" speakers in the back though, but im not sure what the criterea was for getting those.
do the panels holding the speakers now look stock? if not, im sure you could get the factory panels from a junkyard or somthing and they should go in with no problem. are you also sure that the speakers you have in thier now are the sizes you say they are? i know for a fact that some 6.5" speakers will not fit directly into the front door locations, but some will, so if you're assuming its a 5.25" inch spot because you couldnt fit your speakers in, it might just be that. the panels will need to be modified a slight bit (takes a minute with a dremel) to accomidate the new speakers.
if you are sure that you have the sizes you say you have, why not just stick with those sizes? otherwise youre going to have to do some custom work (or buy the factory speaker baffles) to do what you want.

Naww... What i found out is that the person i bought it from put the stock cd player in there, without changing the old speakers. I have the orginal non-infinity spearkers. I am not sure of the front size looked around 5" and the back were 5.25". I just wanna take those out and put 6.5 in the front and 6X9's in the back. I just wanted to know how to do that, Do I have to buy a different bracket, or modify something i alreay have????

ok, assuming you have the stock speaker baffles, you should be able to fit MSOT 6.5"s in there with no problem. ive only ever tried to install a 6.5" mid from DEI in theer, and had to do a little trimming with the dremmel, but i know for sure that people have not had to do any mods to fit other 6.5"s in there. if i remember correctly, most pioneers fit in with no problem. you might want to create a seperate post on what 6.5" speakers will fit in the stock door locations without modification.
as far as back sepakers go, i would assume the same applies. im not really sure why you would want to go with 6x9s over 6.5"s, however i would ASSUME that a stock 6x9" bracket would be a bolt on switch from a 6.5" bracket...so if you could find the 6x9 pod from a junkyard youd be set. ive never seen the brackets side-by-side before though, so they might not be exactly interchangable. of course, you could fabricate somthing out of fiberglass, but i assume if you had the capibility/desire to do that, you wouldnt be asking this question

keep the 5 1/4's in man. 6x9's aren't as good as sound quality if you ask me. i have 2 sets of 5 1/4's in mine. and its got some very good sound quality.
