Ok, I know we've talked about this before but I need to know again as its time to change stuff around. I have the python 650ESP, and had it installed by my local car stereo shop. Well they did a crappy job, first there is a rats nest of wires under my dash, and second I have the alarm turned all the way up and it doesn't catch a lot of things. I can rock the car back and forth, smack the most of the windshield as hard as I want and my alarm doesn't go off. So here is what I need:

1) I need a better spot to mount the brain, if there is one. Its under the dash mounted on some plastic right now it looks like.

2) I need to know where to mount an outboard shock sensor. My alarm didn't come with one so I am adding one.

The center console area makes for a good spot for the brain. It makes it hard to get at, and completly hidden. For an outboard shock sensor, be sure to mount it to a nice, solid stucture under the dash area, or in the center console area, esp if you end up putting the brain in there. I try to stay away from mounting the shock to a big wire harness, because it makes the shock too sensitive, and loud bass and thunderstorms may set it off. I usually will use a thick zip tie and mount it to a metal bar, or frame support under the dash area somewhere. This way, it makes the entire car more equal to sensitivity to impacts. Also, rocking the car will not usually set off the alarm. The shock sensor needs to see an impact on the car/glass to set it off. Hope this helps some
