#5346, "I need some help with my planned stereo setup!"
Ok, well I have a Crossfire 400 watt 2 channel amp that I want to run 2 200 watt 5.25" mid-bass woofers for the rear(My 98 Gs has 5.25" speakers in the rear) Anyway, I had this amp pushing 2 12" subs, but I got rid of them cause I wanted something smaller. These mid-bass ones sound pretty cool, will they fit in the rear speaker panel (Needs MOUNTING DEPTH: 2.17")? Also, I have the amp wired to my Sony headunit, will I still need to have it wired to the headunit if I just want to use the amp to push the rear speakers? I will let the headunit power the front speakers. Thanks for the help and I hope I was clear in what I wrote.

An amp hookup is basically the same regardless of what you are pushing. The only thing to really consider is if the RCAs coming from your head unit are hooked up to a subwoofer pre-out or the rear pre-out for the front pre-out. Some decks only have one pre-out so you might have nothing to worry about. Other than that you will probably want to change your crossover frequencies and all that but that is just tuning.
I am not very good at explaining things either so I hope I am making sense.

You will need to still have the amp hooked up to your headunit. Like Faster said check what out the RCA cables are coming from from the head unit. Will they fit? Try them and find out is the best advice I can give you.. if they don't either make them or build something custom.
