Good price? Worth It? I just want some Avg. bump.... I already have Xpold mx-630 52 watt, and Xplod 6.5 55 watt speakers.

I want to buy a deal at Best buy so they can install the subs for me... Do you they ever have any good deals for systems??

i'm sure someone with more expensive taste will disagree... but that sounds like a good deal to me. just make sure you get the 4 year warranty with it. i have one of the xplod 12's from them and i have no complaints.

i dont mean to sound typical, but usually sont car products arent really that great. weve had nothing but problems with my brothers cd player in his nissan, plus my bud and i went to best buy because he was interested in subs, the audio guy gave us a demo with a 700+watt amp put to two of the plastic red lookin 12's and the subs tore before our eyes. if you want a decent system, you can get 2 jl audio 12wo's, for 200. and i believe bazooka makes a 500X1 as well as a 600X1 amp that runs around $150 that powers very well. bazookas products are also made by the same manufacturing company that makes MTX. so for 350+ youll have a badass system. hope that helps
later

As far as Sony Products go, I would say the subs are fairly good. They are a sensitive sub, which means a smaller amplifier will deliver a pretty good punch. However, the subs will "flatten" out pretty quick.

I would strongly recommend that you do not go with the Sony amps. They are extremely prone to going into "overcurrent" protection. In addition, Sony calls for a 40 amp fuse on the chassis of the amp and a 30 amp fuse under the hood. These amps are prone to popping fused when the strong bass notes hit.

In addition, the mounting design on the amps is extremely difficult to work with. The terminals are at a goofy angle, which makes going back into the install difficult.

I've installed many of these amps and have had difficulties with most.

Good luck to ya!

Sony is garbage. Anything I have ever owned sony has broken on me. Including an Xplod Sub and Amp. My friend's xplod head unit, which he had to have just becuase it lit up red also went on him twice. Volume knob broke, then he whole unit went out. Don't trust them. I can give you a list of at least 10 sony things I have owned that have broken. Maybe I just have bad luck, but I have benn Anti-Sony for a while now.

i would agree that the xplode stuff isnt great, but you have to keep in mind the install and use of the product when making a determination. for 250 bucks, its an awesome deal that will give you great results if you want a little extra "kick" in the system, but because the deal and the whole xplode line appeals to a different class of customer...one that wants to push thier system hard and not pay a lot for it...there are a lot of complaints of busted subs and so forth. many consumers will turn the amp gains all the way up, the bass EQ section all the way up, and the headunit all the way up and wonder why thier subs blew.

so my point is this...its a good deal...but only if you arent expecting to break glass and shake the earth with your system. the xplode stuff will get pretty darn loud, PLUS...because best buy installed it they guarentee the integrity of the install, so if a wire comes loose or somthing you can get it fixed for free.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

as long as you buy the extended warranty go for it, because that warranty also allows for credit towards a better sysytem later on.
