yes, it should work in any car, you just have to wire it in correctly (that will be a PITA unless you know what wire goes to what). unless you are geting it for like 5 bucks and you can help him un-install it (so you know what wire on the alarm goes to what wire in the car), its probably not worth it. you can get alarms on ebay for 30 bucks or so that will do the same thing. ive never looked at the wiring for a car w/ a stock alarm, so im not sure how it integrates into the wiring, but this page should help you identify wire colors so you can use it as a guide:

i dont think its as simple as "plug and play", but double check to make sure. like i said, ive never inspected the wiring for a factory alarm, so its hard for me to say. if the person who might sell you the alarm is planning to take it out anyways, just ask to help them take it out, that way if its a simple unplugging of a harness, you can double check in your car and see if the same harness exists.

I would love to...he lives in Fl. Um...does anyone know were I can get a diagram of the stock alarm harness and wires. Just so I can look into my car and see if I have all required things. Someone mentioned to me that it might be behind the drivers rear panel in the back seat....Can anyone varify this?

I'm having problems with my girlfriends '97 Talon Esi... I need to find the alarm box as well. Here's what happens, it's the factory alarm, you hit the unlock button on the keypad, and the doors unlock, then you open the door and the horn starts going off, lights flashing, ect.. you can start the car and drive, it just takes a few minutes for the alarm to stop, and the lights to stop flashing. Then, when you drive the car to where you want to go, when you open the door to get out, the alarm goes off again. I really don't care about the alarm at all anymore, so if someone can tell me how to take the whole system out, let me know, diagrams whatever, I'll just remove all of that. Thanks in advance... I'd like to get this fixed by tonight so I don't have to hear it tomorrow when she goes to work.
