I was wondering if anybody that has any experience with XM and it they could tell me if it is worth the money. I just got the alpine 7964 head and best buy quoted me around $200 for the modulator, antenna, and install. I was wondering if this investment is something that I will regret down the road or if I will be satisfied with it for some time....thanx
I have XM and I like it its got plenty of music so I would say go for it. You'll like it.

Yeah dude, I have it and install it every weekend. Listen, unless you're a complete fucking moron you can install it yourself. Theres basically 5 wires and a cable. A yellow one, a red one, a black one, a super thin wire with a green plug, a super thin wire with a yellow plug, and a big ass cable. 1.You splice the yellow into the yellow behind the head unit. 2.You splice the red into the red behind your head unit. 3.You ground that black one (either behind the head unit or by the tuner box, each one is different and I forgot how Alpine is) 4.You plug that big ass cable into the back of your head unit. 5.You mount the XM tuner box wherever you want. 6.You run that big ass cable back to the tuner box and plug it into the OUTPUT. 7.Then you mount your antenna (put in on your back deck under your rear window) 8.Run the super thin antenna wires back to the tuner box. 9.Plug the yellow plug onto the yellow post. 10.Plug the green plug onto the green post. 11.Turn the bitch on and call the 800 number.
I think its deffinatly worth the money. Has all you need/want/like. And ill also have to agree w/ ^^^^^. Install it yourself, like i did, and you will save $$$. Not that hard, just dont get intimidated. Just my opinion tho...
