Hey man, I looked up those remotes and I can't just walk into CC and buy them. I have to special order them through Alpine. But here's a good way of looking at it. I get 40% off retail on everything alpine sells. So, if you know how much they are, subtract 40% and that's what I get it for.

The M500 is surely a really nice amp....a little under powered for 2 twelves though. If you plan on getting 2 m500s what ohm rating are you going to get on the speakers.
for one m500 you would want the 2ohm speakers so you can run the voice coils in series and the speakers in parallel and come out with 2 ohms to the amp.
If running 2 M500 (one to each sub you would want the 4 ohm version and run the voice coils in parallel so each amp would see a 2 ohm load.
So I suppose ultimately you would want the 4 ohm speakers but when you are running them on a single M500 they will be greatly underpowered since you will have to run an 8 ohm load to the amp.
That was just the thought process I was going through when I bought my setup so just figured I would share.

Yeah, Chad's got a good point. Buy them at Circuit City. They have a policy that states if you buy a speaker you have one year to come back and upgrade. If you don't like the one you bought you just pay the difference and get the better one. So if you get 2 TypeR 2ohm/coil (SWR1221) subs and later you save up and buy the second MRDM500 then just go back and ask them to trade them for the dual 4 ohm (SWR1241) subs.
