#448, "stock sound system???"

i'm looking to upgrade my 1995 gs sound system, but when i called crutchfield, they asked me if my stock sound system was the infinity sound system. i wouldn't know this information, cuz i bought my car used, and the previous user had already changed it. anybody know? did the '95 gs come with or without the infinity system?

it's an option.. it can come with or without the infinity system... there are a few things you can look for that can lead you to believe it had the infiniti system..
look under the passenger seat... if ther are a bunch of wires or a small black box and such, it probably had the infinty system..
what that will mean is that the size of the speakers are different. there will be tweeters in the dash, 6 1/2 speakers in the doors, and 6x9 speakers in the rear quarter panels..

look under the passenger seat. There should be an infin. amp there. If its not there, take the seat out and check under the carpet for a wiring harness that would have gone to it. If thats not there then....NO...you dont have the infin. kappa.

Actually all 97 gs's have the wiring hookup under the passanger seat, just minus the amp.
