#4421, "quick question"

i have an RS, so it didnt come with power locks. the owner before me had a cheap alarm and keyless entry w/ actuators installed. well neither worked very well and i have since replaced the alarm. i was looking on the actuators yesterday there are 5 wires a blue, green, brown, black, and white. the green and blue were the only ones hooked up. i noticed i could never get my locks to unlock with my remote, only lock. so is the blue/green wires to only lock or what?? the other wires were just taped up and nothing else was done, anyone have an idea???? remember this is an aftermarket actuator, so it may or may not have the same color wires as you guys with factory power locks, thanks!

i have aftermarket power locks that were put in at the same time as my alarm by the shop. mine only have two wire comin out of them though... i'm pretty sure that's how most actuators work. my power windows (aftermarket) are the same way. it's usally just two wires - hook them one way and they lock. hook them the other and they unlock. if you've got five wires it might be the wiring for the switch. like with my power window switches, they've got 6 wires. the two coming from the window motor. 1 ground. 2 positives. and an extra positive tapped into the parking lites (the switches are illuminated). it sounds like that might be some wiring for the switches... that'd give you the two wires to the actuators, 1 ground, and 2 positives. (there are two positive leads b/c there's relay built in which switches the polarity of the current flowing to the actuators, allowing you to either lock or unlock) dunno if this helps much...
