I have Kenwood Excelon 6.5" components in the front and back and they sound awesome. Crystal clear and very loud, so that would be my suggestion.

sweet! ive always liked the MTX amps, ever since the old school 2300s came out. those were the days, when 800 watts was considered "awesome", now it seems average emoji i looked up the specs for that amp online, and it said 425x1 with 4 ohms of resistance. MTX usually under rates thier amps though, so it should be in the nieghborhood of 500 if you give it a good 14 volts.

as far as recommendations for the 6.5"s, i could name hundereds that sound good...just trust your ears and get whatever sounds good to YOU. heres some of my favs: DEI (the neodymium and vipir series), Image Dynamics (chameleons), A/D/S (3 series), older Diamond hexes (pre '99), Dynaudio 240mkII (actually a 7", but the new 240s w/ a 6.5 look promising...i havent had a chance to hear them). all these speakers tend to be a bit "warmer" in tonality, with a crisp but somewhat subdued upper range.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

so i scored rockford 6.5s for the front doors, installed em after cleanin up all the "black gunk" in the door.... tried to do the same in the rear, but they were "too small" so i hooked up some xplod 6x9s... these are both run off of my swapmeet special, and my 12s were just put into a new box, that was actually "sealed"... shit pounds!!!!

pixxx will be soon, my lazy ass hasnt bought a camera yet..

imabout 75% done w/the project... need to trim sum shiot, and cut sum more..install this that, its on....
