She has a '01 Celica and is cravin a nice system. She wants one 12" sub in the back. Not crazy bass, enough to roll down the street and make decent noise. She really jus wants it to osund nice. I have been out of the audio world for sometime so i was hopin y'all could hook me up on some suggestions. I am pretty sure she wants new interiors, head unit, sub amp, interiors amp, and sub. No record setting here, jus good quality tunage, that i can tweak out emoji

whats up buck, if she wants a single 12, you cant go wrong with jl audio. just get a single 12w0 they are inexpensive sound great, and they barely need any power to hit, she will love you forever.

What size speakers does she have? I may have a hookup for ya.

(Edit) Okay, I went by 6.5's front and rear....I'll get you this:

Alpine CD Player (not sure model number)
Alpine Type R 6.5" Components up front
Alpine Type R 6.5" Coaxials rear
Alpine Type R 12" Sub
Alpine 4 Channel V12 series amp
Alpine 4 Channel Sub amp (designed for the Type R's)
Box
Wiring
RCA's

For about $1800 brand new. Do the math, that stuff is about $2200 regular. I can save ya $400, maybe a little more...we'll see. PM me and we'll set it up if you'd like.

Stay away from memphis and xplod! They are both junk! I would go with either kicker, alpine, eclipse or mb quart! Just my $ .02 though!

i could sit here and recomend thousands of different setups, but it doesnt really matter unless your girlfriend likes it, not me. one key point i like to stress to people is that you dont have to pay a ton to get an awesome system, its a 50/50 deal, with half being the components and half being the install. you could buy like 200 bucks worth of "crap" from radioshack and make it sound relativly great by spending a few days installing it correctly, but if you buy 3000 worth of stuff and just slap it in it will sound like shit.

:shhh: i do cocaine :/shhh:

Sort of true, but sometimes no matter what you do with crap it will always be crap!

Well....she is looking for something to get a somewhat show quality install...When at a show, local, regional, or national, seeing some pos subs isn't as cool as seein some kicker l7's or sumthin....But i also know that certain brands tend to stand up to abuse better (for me emoji) and certain componants sound better then others. I just know that there seems to have been a surge in entry level subs and that the quality of them <appears> to be going up.
