So i have a system in my car, and about 3 blown speakers in my house.
I'm a noob at audio, not wiring, but i wanna know if i could fix them
or use them for a good purpose. The speaker looks the same as the day i bought it, just no sound comes from it

use it as a paperweight, thats about it

it really depends on why the speaker doesnt work. if the leads that you connect the speaker wires to are damaged or somthing similar, its repairable. if upon visual inspection everything looks normal, the voice coil have probably warped and siezed (kinda like a piston siezing in a cylinder), and theres no hope to fix it. push lightly down on the top of the cone around the dust cap with even distrobution and see if it budges. if its difficult to push or makes a scratching niose, its the voice coil.

hey chrysler, i wondered this when i blew mine but, there really is nothing you can do to fix them. as far as i know when a speaker is blown, the most common reason is that the cone is torn. you can always use duck tape. later dude

the cone is not torn like i thought it would be if the speaker is blown, they all look the same as the day i bought them. so i figure its something internal

make sure you check all of the wires, is the spider in back of the cone still intact. sometimes if the speaker looks fine, the spider is torn, but barely visible. basically there is no way to fix blown speakers. the only speaker that i know of that is repairable is the MTX-RFL15 sub. as far as regular speakers go, i think you need to head to your local stereo shop. i hope i helped.
