i have a kenwood deck i just installed, running an amp to my subs with the factory speakers attached directly to the kenwood. i wanna try using the factory infinity amp also since i have it laying around
heres my question, my kenwood has a DIN on the back for a CDChanger. can this also be used to wire up the factory amp??
please dont just say "get a new amp", i wanna try this so only respond if you have info,

I am not sure what you are planning to use the factory amp for but as far as your front speakers are concerned your aftermarket deck most likely puts out more power than the factory amplifier. I would be surprised if it could even move a sub.
If you do want to use the amp then you cannot just plug it into the same spot a CD changer would go because that is an input and you need something for output from your aftermarket deck. With that pin out you probably can use the amp but you would have to use some sort of line level converters to reduce the output from your deck speaker wires then when it goes into the amp it would raise the power back up and send it on to the speakers which would most likely add noise to the system and not sound as good as the direct connection to the deck. If your deck came with RCA outputs you could probably make yourself a wire that converts from RCA to the DIN plug somehow and provide power to it from another source. Again its probably more work than its worth IMO.

its not so much the power im lookin for its the crossover thats built in. im pretty sure there are seperate outs for the dash speakers that only give you highs, the door speakers get the mid, and the 6x9s get a little extra base.

You could just spend a little money and time with crossovers doing that rather than pulling your hair out trying to get that amp to work.
I'm not sure how your stuff is set up now, do you have the Kenwood plugged into the factory plugs? And who installed it? Half the time you can use a factory amp and half the time you can't. With our cars you can plug the deck into the cars harnes and it will run through the amp...was your car wired for that amp?
If not you're in for a world of headaches my friend. It's not just about putting in an amp. I had to rewire an infinity system in an Avenger last week....holy SHIT was it hard. They're very confusing. It's not like an amp where you ad some RCA's and power. I had a 4 page wiring diagram to follow and I still screwed it up twice before I got it working...and I've been doing this stuff for a long ass time.
I hate to tell you to get a new amp....so I won't....but you know my opinion If you only want the crossover abilities (of which i'm not aware since the front speakers have passive crossovers inline) then just get some passive crossovers and hook it up yourself...it will be far less of a headache than that amp.

its the challenge more than anything, im determined to figure this out. if you read old posts there are alot of people out there that want to do this. i have a nice kenwood, 50x4, but it doesnt push much highs through the front. so this is an experiement, if i dont like the results then ill buy an amp but when i have one laying around that NOBODY will buy off me, might as well try. im the one that wired the kenwood, and the amp that goes to my subs. im wired many many systems in my life so im not knew. in fact for a while i had my 2nd amp running into the stock amp since the stock head unit had no pre-outs. a little thought, a little splicing here and there, its not hard when you know which wires are which.
i guess ill just have to try this the old fashioned way.

it can be done.. it takes some work, but it should be easier for you since you have the connections. I hooked up an alpine amp that comes stock in a dodge viper. paid more than half as much as i would have if I bought a regular alpine amp.. anyways, all you have to do is splice and connect, I did it on that amp without any of the wiring harnesses, I bought an 8 pin din b.c it would've been impossible without it but it was still a bitch to solder on the wires from the coaxial cables. good luck with it.
