#3800, "Dash Speaker size, And rear 6x9 Pods part # ???"

What size speakers fit in the dash?

Does anyone have thepart numbers for the rear speaker pods that hold the 6x9's from the higher up sound system? The closest dealership to me is a bunch of mornons who can't(read won't) look up part numbers without a vin number. So rather than deal with them if anybody has the partt numbers I'd be grateful.

My new plan is either for 6x9 subs or 6x9 3 ways, eventually with a graphic eq and 4 channel amp.

The box was just too big and heavy for my performance needs.

Well, the dash speakers I haven't found a good replacement for. Some of the guys here will tell you to buy these $15 tweeters that are made to fit up there off of ebay, but I don't know about those. Here's what I did...Put a set of Alpine TypeR components in the door with a good tweeter location and just cut the dash speakers out all together. You can't tell if they're there or not. Then later on I put an individual set of TypeR tweeters up there. It will pull the stereo image forward. And sound really good.

Type R's thump buddy. All I have are 6.5 components up front and coaxials in back and when the bass hits you can feel it...not like a set of 10's by any means...but if you can feel anything from a 6.5 they're quality emoji

On this topic - I have a set of JBL 3 1/2 tweeters sittin around. Anyone know if you can squeeze those guys up front?? Just wondering - otherwise I'll sell em'.

Almost forgot - if you can't get the 6x9 mitus mount, just trace a 6x9 template on your exisiting speaker mount, get a handheld sabre saw and cut them out and re-drill. That was all I did. Looked totally professional and worked great emoji

Hey

3.5 will not fit up front...I just tried to put a set up there and they will NOT fit w/o modifications. I am also looking for a set of front STOCK infinity speakers to replace the one that blew out.

If anyone can help me out please contact me at LordCoben@hotmail.com

Thanks emoji

When you say modifications - do you mean of the speaker or of the dash. Just asking b/c I have some room to play with the speaker a little bit.

I wouldnt mod my dash to put in larger speakers...more than what I want to me mess with....I am only guessing but you would have to enlarge the hole...WITHOUT making an error in size...you only have one dash after all.

they are 3". I am one of those guys that says to buy them off Ebay, just buy the Lexons not the Piezo's. The Lexons are actually decent. Not sure of the part #. Sorry. Good Luck.
