ok here is the prob...... last week my girl and I took out her amp to make an amp rack, now we put it back in and we blow the 3 30amp fuses on the amp right when the power wire tuches the amp. Now ive tried everything. I disconected the ground then atched the power, then the ground, then sparks. diconected everything but the power and ground aND sparcks! I know its gota be with the amp cause the power wire isnt shorting out. But can some help?

Also make sure the speaker wires are not grounding out? I had this problem when one of my speaker wires had a small cut in the protective layer, and it would blow my fuse when I hit bumps because it moved the wires. Just check every wire, and hopefully you can find it. If it's blowing the fuses I think it should be one of the wires, not the amp itself hopefully.

I'm not trying to insult anyone's intelligence, but have you pulled the inline fuse? I ran into the same problem about 8 months ago when I was a doing a install for a kid. Didn't matter which wires in which order I connected, they would blow the hell out of the fuses as soon as they were all hooked up. I took out the inline fuse, hooked everything up, put the fuse back in, and BAM! it worked. I talked to MECP guy later and he said to never hook up a amp with power in the wire, always pull the fuse or disconnect it from the battery, he said it's a good way to blow an amp (didn't explain why, hmmm...).
BTW: On a bad note, I once had 4 Memphis 1000Ds with my old setup. One of the amps kept doing the same thing you were talking about, only sometimes it would hold for 15-20 secs of music and then blow the fuses. Finally, I took it to the local Memphis dealer and had it tested, come to find out the amp was blown and the circuitry was FRIED!! Damn Memphis amps, oh well I hope that's not your case, I'm 99.9% sure it's not.
