have any of you heard either or both of these in action? which of the two sound better? i'm trying to get incredible sounding 5.25" components to put in my q-forms kicks. i want to have a great sounding system that could hold its own in a SQ competition. i also have 3 jl audio 10w3's. any other suggestions you guys have would be greatly appreciated. i want to do this right from the start. fyi, i have zapco refernce ag350 and ag1000 amplifiers (thinking about getting another ag350). tia!

i really havent heard or experienced any other components then the ones in my car.. so i guess im biased for the moment. the jl 10w3's are a good choise btw, thats about the last thing i will change in my car is my sub where i want to get a 12w6, but thats a ways into the future right now. One good thing i will add is that when you install your additional equipment, use quality cable and hardware. it might cost more in the beginning, but it will be worth it in the end. unless you enjoy ripping everything out over and over again.. oh im not sure but Diamond Audio may make 5 1/4 components, if they do i would recomend them. i love the great highs i get from my current setup and its about to get better when i swap in my new head unit.
edit: man.. i thought my components were expensive.. i think if money is no object go for the mb quarts, but if so get the focal's all i know is that they both need quite a bit of power to perform well.. ie 100+ watts rms per channel, which of course requires a nice amp that will again cost more $.. both look like nice setups.

not trying to get silly or sarcastic, but (forgot to mention this earlier) money (to a certain degree) is not an obstacle. i'm willing to pay $500+ for some great components.
