i got a question regarding these type of head units. The ones with a screen or whatever that comes out of the head unit and folds up. Do we have clearance for these type head units, like a CVA-1005, i think the mechanisms are the same. i am worried that when the face folds out into it's open position, it will hit the little trim piece above the stereo.
thanks

since nobody answered me or since nobody knows, i bought a cda-7998, it does not fit with our dash trim without some modification. i had to remove some of the material on the trim above the stereo to make it work.

well glad you got it worked out.. sometimes there has to be the first attempt by someone for the rest of us to know, so thanks for being the guinea pig.. you didnt have any problems having the dect fit flush or being to long in depth to fit properly, did you? I just got the alpine cda 7995 and have heard mixed things about it being to deep to fit in our cars. neways just curious.
