ok guys i just installed my new deck (kenwood 859) neways i had my amp rigged to the rear speakers (high level input) and u know it was all right but at least no interference. well i finally hooked it up thru RCA's and now im getting monster interference. i think i've tracked it down to right behind my deck. any suggestions on how to fix it? my 8 gauge power wire is on opp. side. the only other thing on the same side is the 12 gauge remote wire. i have a Viper alarm... maybe thats fukn with it? HELP!

16' monster cable's, JVC 600 watt amp. gains arent set very high, dont know exact as my gurl is rolling in it right now. you can hear shit in my subs if u bump stuff around in the slot under my deck.

Check the RCA connections behind the head unit. Make sure that they are nice and tight. Then cover the connections with electrical tape. Make sure your gains aren't set too high. The gain controls the amount of input to the amp, the higher they are set the better chance of induced noise. Try this and let me know.

you can also wrap the connection in tin foil before you tape it, that will further shield it from outside noise.....make sure to check your ground too. for some reason the factory ground doesn;t seem to be to good from the experiences i have had in our cars. might wanna look at finding a better ground point for the head unit.......

Hmm..How about some more info. Noise can be caused by so many things, but what kind of noise is it? Is it a hummimng noise, or does it increase and decrease with the motor revving? Bad grounds cause most noise problems, or ground loops in the system. Does the noise exist when the car is off, or car running, or both? When the noise is there, get at the back of the deck, and unplug each rca and see if the noise goes away. Also, if your monster cable rca's have metal outer conectors on them, sometimes they can touch eachother, causing some noise..I dont think you have this type, but when they are plugged into the deck, the two rca plugs can touch if they are fat enough..Try this out, and see if you can isolate the noise, and see if it occurs with the car on or off, and if it varies with engine speed..

wuts up, the noise has nothing to do with the engine! its like the subs sort of hit when i fuck with things in the slot under the deck. so im gonna try to wrap the rca connections and see if that helps, ill let you know tomoro! thanks tho, peace
